As another ice cap melts and China is forced to manually pollinate their flowers, the power to save our natural resources falls into the capable hands of DIYers everywhere.

Urban Treehouse is a collaborative California-based environmental docu-series & blog created by a passionate group of friends and family working in a variety of industries. We strive to show how fun and easy it is to become an eco-friendly city dweller through DIY videos, Eco Pro Tips, and by example of Conscious Companies.

Making small changes in your urban lifestyle can make a big impact on the world!

Mikael Gustafson is the Director of Photography for Urban Treehouse. He has a passion for the great outdoors and thrives in the most extreme conditions, from snow camping to scuba diving.

“I like to think of myself as a steward of the earth first and a cameraman second. I couldn’t do one without the other. I spend my time in the wild places around me as much as possible. Besides carrying a camera from place to place, I enjoy backpacking, hiking, climbing, and most of all scuba diving. My greatest passion is underwater cinematography, where I get the opportunity to share the view from under the great blue. It’s a place seldom explored and there is so much to learn about our world from the ocean.”
